Terrazas Bar and Grill
Guys Night Out
When Tony Maya was out to dinner at one of his favorite places and struck up a conversation with restaurant staffer Martin Osorio, he had no idea that conversation would lead to a friendship and soon a business partnership. They discussed food and business and discovered they had the same dream: to open their own restaurant someday. That someday is now and their new venture, Terrazas Bar and Grill in Johns Creek, is now open, serving elevated Mexican food, made from top-quality ingredients and presented with a flair. "We are focused on offering a more upscale approach to Mexican food, with a careful and impressive presentation and the very best produce and ingredients to set us apart from the competition," says Tony.
The most unique dishes on the menu at Terrazas are the Mexican seafood paella which is a variation of the typical Spanish paella and the ribeye tacos which are served with marrow-filled bone that tops the tacos and is a beautiful finishing touch to a layered and memorable meal
Their families come from a state in the Gulf Coast of Mexico and their kids were born here. "My oldest son Anthony just left his four-year service at the U.S. Marine Corps and our younger son Andrew is graduating from Forsyth Central High School and will be going to Lanier Tech soon," says Tony, a proud father.
Tony and Martin's goal is to take guests through an adventure of Mexico’s great cuisine, one bite at a time, using modern techniques for simple yet elegant dishes. Terrazas has an international bar with more than a dozen margaritas ("the best in town," Tony promises) and a wide variety of freshly made cocktails.
The menu is extensive, with nine pages of house-made dishes from tacos and burritos to their signature 8 oz ribeye. It's a good fit for our growing community.
"We chose Johns Creek because of the diversity of its demographics and because it is a very small-business-friendly city that uses common sense when it comes to supporting new entrepreneurs who are opening their small businesses," says Tony. Rafael Gomez is the general manager, and the restaurant is open every day, 11:00 a.m - 10:00 p.m. and until 11:00 p.m on Fridays and Saturdays.
